Relaxation Does Not Mean Activity

I really enjoyed our weekend.  The whole family went to North Carolina for some much needed get away time.  People think that when you go on vacation, that means you have to go to theme parks or do these lavish activities, but you don't.  Just a change of scenery or having the opportunity to relax (As much as one can relax with an infant and a toddler).  It's hard out there for a lot of people and conserving money is something that people should do.  I think a lot of people have gotten away from family time.  We love to go to the park, play games, and dance in our kitchen together.  Just being in each others presence and having a good time is good enough for us.  Now, don't get me wrong, we love going to theme parks, Chuckie Cheese, Aquariums, and zoo's, but it's not something we have to do ALL THE TIME.

This weekend, we drove around the area to look at lights, went to a few of the local parks, and watched movies.  Even though we were lazy, we were still away from home and got a chance to just "be."  On Sunday, we went to Nick's favorite place to eat a burger: RED ROBIN.  I have never seen a grown man so excited (except when a new Madden or NBA Live game comes out) about something.  I do have to admit, the unlimited steak fries are great!  And they really do have the BEST burger I have ever had.

All in all, we had a great weekend.  Now, it's back to the real world.  Time to get ready for Christmas.  I really need to get these Christmas cards out, so that's on my list of things to do this week.  Some of you may get the cards after Christmas, but that's OK :)
